The Moment is the sixth solo album by British pop / soul singer Lisa Stansfield, released on ZTT Records in September 2004 in the UK, and subsequently distributed in Europe by Edel International in February 2005. It was re-released, in March 2006, in a deluxe edition, with gold cover, appropriately entitled The Moment - Gold Edition, including 2 bonus tracks and an enhanced CD-ROM section with extra contents.
The 2004 edition includes 11 audio-tracks and 2 videoclips, while the 2006 edition includes 13 audio tracks and 2 videoclips. 4 singles were taken out the album: "Easier", "Treat Me Like a Woman" (the two songs were released as one double-A-side single in the UK only, and separately in some territories), "If I Hadn't Got You" and "He Touches Me".
The long playing work, unlike Lisa's other records, all containing previously unreleased original songs (and all 5 re-released in digipak), consists of a number of tracks composed by Stansfield along with her usual team, and numerous covers (more than half of the track listing), including Prefab Sprout's biggest hit, "When Love Breaks Down".
