Frequently during the 1990s, trumpeter/vocalist Jack Sheldon and pianist Ross Tompkins appeared as a duo in Los Angeles-area clubs. Their duet CD is most notable for Sheldon's singing, which was in prime form during the period. The emphasis is on ballad renditions of swing standards, although there are a few hotter numbers. Highlights include &This Love Of Mine,& &Blues In The Night,& &How About You,& a &New York Medley& and &Laughing On The Outside.&
