The Marcos Hernandez story reads like a classic American Dream. Born in Phoenix, and raised in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, this 22-year-old vocal powerhouse caught the attention of the music industry at age 18 as a member of the Dallas-based group, Sons of Harmony. As a group member, Marcos was soon opening for acts like 98 Degrees, Jessica Simpson, Mandy Moore and Pink. A 30 city tour with Destiny's Child showed their great promise, but Sons eventually broke up. Marcos went solo and soon caught the attention of Tommy Quon, manager of Vanilla Ice. Work began on his solo debut with Ritchie Blaze, who has produced songs for veteran hit songwriter Dianne Warren, as well as Jermone Harmon, a producer for gospel star Kirk Franklin. Marcos wrote most of the lyrics.
The first single, "If You Were Mine", is a huge ballad and connected immediately with radio stations. TVT Records picked up the project and recently added three new tracks to the album with production by hot hip hop/r&b songwriter/producer Scott Storch (Beyonce, Fat Joe, Mariah Carey, etc.), Steve Morales and Mr. Collipark (Ying Yang Twins studio whiz).
