Rock trio Smile Empty Soul are back with their upcoming studio album ‘3’s’ — due out May 22. The band has revealed album art for their new disc as well as the track list and upcoming tour dates for April and May.
“I think we put more thought into this album cover than ever before,” says frontman and guitarist Sean Danielsen. ”There’s a ton of symbolism going on, and the whole package this time really means a lot to us.”
‘3’s’ is the follow up to their 2010 disc, ‘More Anxiety,’ and will be the band’s first record released via eOne Records. “We are very excited to be working with eOne on this record. They’re a label that truly backs their artists, and that’s exactly what we need.”
He goes on to say, “’3′s’ is the best record we’ve made. It’s more musical and mature, yet still has the ‘Smile’ sound that our fans are looking for.”
The new record was produced by Eddie Wohl who also worked with Smile Empty Soul on their 2009 record, ‘Consciousness.’ The band is also kicking off their tour in support of the album on May 4 in Riverside, California.
