These Portland-based indie rockers found themselves pushing their fourth studio album back from an expected fall 2008 release to January 2009 before eventually settling for a 2010 date. According to band member Danny Seim, the members of Menomena simply found themselves too busy touring and playing festivals. The trio eventually found time to narrow down what was dubbed "a ton of material" to create Mines, the band's second album on Barsuk and first release in three years.
