Prepare yourself for a Canadian offensive, because Saukrates is only one of a few accomplished Maple Leaf artists ready to infiltrate US soil. Influenced by the quintessential NY sound of old, Saukrates self-produced jazzy synthesizers & organic string sections permeate with a native-tongues vibe. But it's lyrically where Saukrates distinguishes himself, as his flow and domineering habitation on the mic is utterly hypnotic. Many of Sauk's finest moments come courtesy of expansive collaborations, as guests include Pharoe Monch "Innovations," Common "Play Dis (99 Sox Remix)" & Xzibit "Keep It Moving."
