These eleven synthesizer pieces were designed to create the sensation of an otherworldly voyage to the Pleiades, a star cluster in the constellation of Taurus often cited as the origin of extraterrestrial visitors to Earth. Markoe recorded the album in a studio filled with crystals, which he says gives the music a very special vibration. One reviewer called Music from the Pleiades "a good tape for out-of-body projection." However, the spacey, orchestra-inspired compositions themselves don't necessarily stand up to concentrated listening.
