The Uncollected Rosemary Clooney, 1951-1952 reissues 14 sides of transcription material, all of it recorded in 1951 when she had just achieved her first measure of commercial success -- a contract with Columbia -- and, through the power of A&R supremo Mitch Miller, the Number One single "Come On-A My House." Backed by a faceless, merely serviceable studio orchestra, Clooney still excels on several of these sides, indulging her vocal jazz side on "You Make Me Feel So Young," "This Can't Be Love," and a tenderly playful "Too Much Conversation." The Swing Factory's Original Studio Radio Transcriptions improves upon this disc by remastering the sound and adding two tracks.
