187 FAC's debut album Fac Not Fiction is a standard-issue post-gangsta hardcore rap record that trots out the typical lyrical and musical cliches. There are rolling bass riffs, as well as skeletal, menacing beats. There are rhymes about sex, drugs and money, as well as songs about the ghetto. 187 FAC doesn't offer anything new here, but they can do this stuff pretty well -- the only problem is, Fac Not Fiction runs too long to properly showcase the group's best side.
