In a forest of giant saguaro cactuses on an Arizona desert, dawn releases a startling variety of voices: the gila woodpecker carves its nest, the coyotes utter their last cries of the night and the doves and cactus wrens greet the sun with their cooing and chirping. You are witness to the quiet drama of a desert morning. Side two shows the mountains progressing from the lower valleys, up into the canyons, following a silvery brook which washes back down to the desert floor. You are spiritually refreshed by the stream's lovely music, and the cheerful warbling of animated birds. A thunderstorm comes and goes, rumbling and dropping rain, leaving you at dusk with the whip-poor-will and whisked owl.
