The GOTAN OBJECT is the ultimate deluxe package of the duo s monumental live recordings in a stylish box set. Inside you ll find the double CD set along with it s companion DVD release VISIONES. Both media capture all the audio and visual excitement of these monumental live concerts that supported the release of the albums « La Revancha del Tango » and « Lunático ». Along with these is a souvenir 160 page book of photographs, CARNET DE VIAJES, featuring image-maker Priscilla Lobjoy s visuals which where projected during the concerts and the photos that she gathered throughout the tour, in addition to an exclusive poster. Capping it all off is a vinyl 7 Inch EP featuring acoustic renditions of the group s two greatest successes, Santa María (del Buen Ayre) and Diferente. Both tracks have been recreated entirely in keeping with the original, traditional tango of 1950 s Argentina.
Coming full circle, the pioneers of electro-tango aspire to leave their imprint on the future of Argentinian music and they know just what they owe to the history which precedes them.
