Latin Soul is a re-release of Mercury recordings, although it is doubtful all were released, at least not on LP. The most significant tracks, &Siboney,& &Jungle Drums,& and &Say 'Si Si',& are readily available on Viva Cugat! in Mercury's Perfect Presence Sound Series. &Always in My Heart& is from The Best of Cugat in the same series. The nicely swinging slow bossa &Dust on the Moon& is yet another welcome Lecuona cover, but the rest is mostly non-essential easy listening, probably from the cutting-room floor. And with only ten tracks, this Pickwick product is much like releases on Mercury's own budget label, Wing.
