Band had their last fling with chart success on this 1986 album, which was the swan song for Mary Davis. &The Finest& hearkened back to the glory years, with its jaunty arrangements, collective vocals, and catchy production. Everything else was efficiently sung and assembled, as Jam and Lewis wrung the last commercial drop out of the formula.
