It's an ably produced, well-sung follow-up to Fly Me on the Wings of Love, but Blow My Mind is nonetheless disappointing in its regular predictability. The hooks of tunes like "Love Drops" and "Give It to Me" don't move enough, and their respective arrangements offer little salvage. More enjoyable are the title track -- a pop/dance shuffler derivative of Amii Stewart's cover of "Knock on Wood" (also from 1979) -- and the cool, mid-tempo "It's Love." The lyrics, rhythms, and Celi Bee's vocals are all in sync on these tunes. Overall, a mixed bag that is only necessary for thorough disco connoisseurs. The two standout tracks can both be found on Hot Productions' For the Love of My Man.
