Is It Love? was Cilla Black's first North American LP release. For some inexplicable reason, Capitol Records released this many months after she had her first American hit, "You're My World". And Capitol didn't even include her hit on this album. Bizarre?

The LP does include two of her British hits, the wonderful Bacharach/David song "Anyone Who Had a Heart" and a weak cover of the Righteous Brothers "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling".

The other 9 tunes are fair covers of recent hits and readings of old standards such as "Ol' Man River".
