by Craig Lytle
This album introduced this classy singer to a vast audience that welcomed her versatile style. The first release was the energized number "Sleep Talk." The revealing lyric and symphonic arrangement are accentuated by Williams' colorful delivery. There is also a cameo by Oran "Juice" Jones. It was a Top Three hit on the Billboard R&B charts. On the same burnin' note and with an even catchier hook and change up, "My Love Is so Raw" peaked at number 12 inside 14 weeks. The New York native displays her affection on the ballad "Just Call My Name." Seasoned with a spellbinding arrangement, Williams patiently cuddles the lyric with her seductively enthralling vocals. It tipped in at number four. "Not on the Outside" is a melodious number basted with a sweet string arrangement and the stellar vocals of the songstress. The chic vocalist comes with one outstanding effort after another as she covers the spectrum of R&B, jazz, dance and rap.
