Wolfstone's first official album, featuring Duncan Chisholm (fiddle), Stuart Eaglesham (guitars), Struan Eaglesham (keyboards), Ivan Drever (acoustic guitar, vocals), Andrew Murray (lead guitar, vocals), and Allan Wilson (pipes, whistle, flute) sounds like a lost Steeleye Span session circa 1972 crossed with the best moments off the first Big Country album. The spirits are high, and the melodies flow freely -- the mix of dances and balladry, mythic and contemporary references, and folk traditions is utterly compelling. "Song for Yesterday," and the dance instrumental "Cleveland Park," and the more traditionally based "Erin" are just a few of the highlights.
