The eight-voice a cappella Swingle Singers put on a very diverse and intriguing show during their tour of December 2000. Their repertoire ranges from a few Kurt Weill tunes and "Someone's Rocking My Dreamboat" to music by Bach and the Beatles, Christmas songs, and their exciting rendition of the "1812 Overture." The arrangements are quite inventive and colorful, and the eight singers (two sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses) blend together magnificently. This is an excellent introduction to this veteran group's unique music.
