Some people get their start in the music industry the strangest ways. More times than not in hip-hop, it's who you know rather than what you know, and such is the case with Charli Baltimore. After saying that, she has developed into a somewhat talented rap artist, but certainly nothing worthy of the attention she gets and guest appearances she draws. There are plenty of great MCs who will never get to grace a DJ Premier beat, or have Ghostface Killah on a track with them. It's a bit of a shame that an unknown rapper gets this kind of attention just because she's, well, a she. This album is riddled with guest appearances, and most of the time Charli is there as a shoe-in while the others rap. It seems like a lot of the rappers even had to step down their game so as not to embarrass Charli lyrically. Still, there are a lot of people who don't listen to hip-hop just for groundbreaking lyrics, and the musical side of the album is pretty good, with some good producers creating the beats. Overall, you really need to like Charli Baltimore to appreciate this album and put it in your rotation.
