Zimbabwe native Rozalla released Everybody's Free in 1992, and subsequently found major club success with the title track, a catchy, cathartic rave anthem that managed to cross over to the Top 40 pop charts. The album, predictably, contains similar sounding tracks like &Are You Ready to Fly& (also a club hit) and &Born to Love You,& but Rozalla manages to squeeze in more house-oriented grooves on &Faith (In the Power of Love)& and &Lost in Your Ocean.& Rozalla is also capable of performing slower material, as demonstrated on the ballad &Love Breakdown,& and the optimistic &Believe in Yourself& rises above the usual let's-party fluff of most dance-oriented releases. Strong tunes and capable vocals make Everybody's Free a solid and consistent debut effort.
