Gregory Isaacs may not be in prime vocal form anymore, but his popularity hasn't waned, and his output remains prodigious. This release had some good message tracks and decent love tunes, but wasn't exactly a powerhouse. Isaacs sounded most convincing on &Poor Man& and &Night Flight,& and rather disjointed on &Blouse and Skirt& and &Freak Of The Week,& although that may have been as much a fault of the lyrics as his vocals. There was little unusual here from a production or arranging standpoint, and Isaacs moved through the 11 tunes in relatively smooth fashion. Overall, it was just one more day at the office for one of reggae's most prolific performers.
