Daddy Freddy juggles idiomatic influences nicely on Raggamuffin Soldier. There are hip-hop-influenced production touches, songs designed to appeal to more traditional reggae fans (&Jah Jah Give Me Vibes&), tunes using both American and Caribbean rap techniques, and even dance, R&B, and soul touches incorporated into some selections. The results are a 15-track disc that should have something for everyone, and one of the few that actually manage to combine things from all styles rather than just throw them together.
