All except two pieces on Gifts of the Angels are taken from eight previous Steven Halpern releases. As the title suggests, the album highlights music with an angelic presence. Halpern writes that these pieces represent those &'magic moments' that occur at least once while recording each album...when the room fills with a luminous light...when time seems to stand still.& Also appearing on the album are harpist Georgia Kelly, from the Ancient Echoes album, and Diana Allen on the vocals to a new piece, &Angels on High.&
