The group's most subdued and melodic album yet, Strangers is ironically the Fellers' least strange album. It's also their most diverse; the goofy &My Pal the Tortoise& shares space with the genuinely disturbing &The Operation,& and the genuinely catchy weirdo-pop of &Socket& and &The Piston and the Shaft.& &Noble Experiment,& &February,& and &Cup of Dreams& explore the group's rare sentimental side, and the result is the group's most complete and listenable album.
