Culling material from the 1997 Australian release What Remains Inside a Black Hole, Estrus remasters, rearranges, and repackages its old B-sides and outtakes to make for an effective stopgap release. Of the old tracks, &Polaris& and &Surf Terror& retain the band's theremin-inspired '50s B-movie sci-fi indulgences the best. Dispensable new cuts &Green-Blooded Love& and &The Wayward Meteor& are less humorous, pointing surf guitar energies towards the harder edge of the band's later albums. In the end, &The Powerful Fully-Transistorized Dick Tracy Two-Way& makes it all worthwhile, with a title that demands taking home to bed.
