Long out of print, this highly enjoyable LP finds trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie and his quintet joined by guitarist Elek Bacsik and percussionist Pepito Riestria for some joyous explorations of bossa nova rhythms and related material. This extended version of Antonio Carlos Jobim's &No More Blues& is classic and the quintet's renditions of &Long Long Summer,& &Desafinado& and &Here It Is& are also memorable. In addition to the trumpeter, altoist Leo Wright and pianist Lalo Schifrin have plenty of solo space. All of Gillespie's Philips recordings should be reissued on CD.
