Basically this is a cut-down edition of Bluebird's excellent reissue of Easy Living, omitting the superb up-tempo &That Old Feeling,& &Blues for Fun,& and the two outtakes. One suspects that the official reason was to preserve a more homogenous (relaxed) mood. Yet, however wonderful the playing of Desmond and guitarist Jim Hall -- the title track remains one of the peaks of their collaboration -- their work is better preserved and offers better value on the hour-long Easy Living CD.
