This has a bluesier, harder R&B feel than his previous effort (Night Train Now), courtesy of a revamped lineup featuring Charles Earland on organ, Melvin Sparks on guitar, and Idris Muhammad on drums. The title track is Bryant's most famous composition. The Legends of Acid Jazz CD reissue combines this and the 1970 session Soul Liberation onto one disc.
