The transatlantic duo Big Deal have created a debut album with a quirky stripped-back arrangement. One acoustic guitar (Kacey Underwood) and one electric guitar (Alice Costelloe) combine with two voices to deliver Lights Out, an intimate listen based around a theme of youth and love.
取名Big Deal本身就是一个大灾难！到底是纽约庞克乐队？还是那支家喻户晓的瑞典Hardcore乐队？答案揭晓，原来是英伦青年男女Kacey Underwood与Alice Costelloe的二人乐队；一点民谣、加上一点花草青春（Indie Pop）。有人会觉得Big Deal很似这年冒出头的Summer Camp、Cults；也有人拿他们来比拟雪菲尔新民谣组合Slow Club。最初受到NME之Radar以及Guardian网站New Band的钦点顺利出道，也曾有人将他俩看做新The Ting Tings，而其实Big Deal的音乐倒更加贴近Best Coast。没有迷幻与梦呓、没有破音吉他音墙作后盾，也不一味追随Twee、Acoustic或所谓「新民谣」浪潮，Big Deal的音乐自成一格、即使缺少了一点别致心裁。专辑除了〈Distant Neighborhood〉，其余皆是寤寐迷蒙、愈陈愈香的Folky小作。
