This week one of the leaders in bringing brand new dubstep and drum and bass to the masses dropped a double disc release to showcase some of the best in underground and mainstream bass music.
UKF, thrust into the spotlight through consistent high quality posts on youtube, have become known as one of the best places to find new music on the internet. Their youtube channel is always popping off with a new track, either dubstep and drum and bass, with the majority being at least 5stars or a close 4. Now with close to 45million hits per month, you know the masses can’t be wrong.
This new double disc, similar to the one that GetDarker just released, showcases releases that will be familar to you if you follow the channel. It’s another stake in the ground for where bass music is at today with folks such as Excision, 16bit, DJ Fresh and DJ Marky & S.P.Y claiming space while some like Cutline, Nixus and Levella bust out the elbows and make themselves know.
While the album on it’s own may be great, if you have the resources to then I’d recommend actually checking out the UFK Bass Culture party on Nov 25th at Alexandra Place in London. All the info can be found here but essentially the lineup is stacked, the music will be epic and the party is going to go off. If you’re able to then hit that shit!
So between the new double album and the monumental party this fall, UKF: Bass Culture is not one to just be passed over.
