The many Lerner & Loewe songs written for the play My Fair Lady have long been rightfully acclaimed. Even with several decades of fine recordings, this duet set by cornetist Ruby Braff and pianist Dick Hyman is one of the finest interpretations of the famous music. Braff and Hyman come up with new ideas during melodic versions of such songs as &Wouldn't It Be Loverly,& &I Could Have Danced All Night,& &On the Street Where You Live,& and &Get Me to the Church on Time,& among others. Every Braff-Hyman collaboration is well worth getting, and this set is no exception.
