This album is typical of Mike Rowland's lush orchestral synth and piano works. Beautiful, heartfelt melodies taken at a graceful tempo. Rowland lingers over the melodic phrasings for dynamic tension, brings in the French horn just at the right moment to build the intensity, then backs off to resavor the romance. It may be too single flavored -- in a word, too beautiful -- for some people. Or it may be just what you need, like a well-deserved bouquet of flowers.
