Ex-Garibaldi singer/actress Pilar Montenegro, who debuted in 1996 with Son del Corazón, brings listeners her first Latin pop full-length record under her contract with Univision Music Group. Titled after Roberto Carlos' classic &Desahogo,& this album opens with a Latin pop/rock song called &Cuando Estamos Solos,& followed by romantic ballads mostly composed by Rudy Pérez, including a ranchera version of &Alguien Que una Vez Amé,& the norteño &Quítame Ese Hombre,& and ending with a club/dance version of the opening track. After nine months of recording sessions, Pilar Montenegro emerges with a well-balanced and brilliantly produced work.
