"Nobody's Home" is Avril Lavigne's third single from her second album Under My Skin. The track featured Daniel Stern playing guitar and was produced by Lavigne and Don Gilmore and written by Lavigne and Ben Moody formerly of Evanescence. It is a "rock ballad" with post-grunge oriented sounds that is generally slower than her last singles from Under My Skin. It was written with ex-Evanescence guitar player and Lavigne's then-current good friend Ben Moody. While many people who listening to this song thought of it being about Amy Lee, the lead singer of Evanescence, she insists it was about a girl who she went to high school with. "Yeah, Nobody's Home was about a girl in high school. We weren't close friends or anything, but everyday I saw her...she was just headed down the wrong path, and her life wasn't all that great."[citation needed] Nobody's Home was on the Totally Hits 2005 CD.
