This traditional jazz date deserves a particularly high rating due to its inspired repertoire, inventive frameworks, and high-quality soloing. Seven songs feature leader/clarinetist Paul Cosentino in a quartet with trumpeter Clint Baker, pianist Tom Roberts, and drummer Rich Strong. "I Wonder Who's Kissing Her Now" has the same group but without trumpet, while the other five songs are a septet that adds trombonist Gerry Gagnon, banjoist Don Davisson, and bassist Ernest McCarty to the quartet. Among the many highlights of this spirited set are hot versions of "I Would Do Anything for You," "You Tell Me Your Dreams," "I'll See You in My Dreams," "Panama," and even "Little Grass Shack." Highly recommended to classic jazz fans.
