Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know" is the fourth and final single from pop singer Britney Spears' album Oops!... I Did It Again. It was released during the first quarter of 2001.
The song was written by record producer Robert Lange, his wife at the time, country music singer Shania Twain, and long-time Bryan Adams guitarist Keith Scott, and was produced by Lange. This track shows Britney explaining to her love that he shouldn't let her hear everything else from other people and should tell everything straight to her as she exclaims "don't let me be the last to know."
The single was nominated at Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in the category of "Best Song" in 2002.[2]
Despite being included only on the British and Japanese versions of the 2004 compilation album Greatest Hits: My Prerogative, "Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know" was the only song from Oops!... I Did It Again featured on the standard edition of Spears' 2005 remix album B in the Mix: The Remixes.
