On Der Plan's third full-length, they branch out from experimental pop songs to an eclectic mix ranging from solo organ melodies to atmospheric instrumentals. Released in 1983 as the soundtrack to the black-and-white cult film by the same name, Die Letzte Rache is more an assemblage of fragments than a cohesive release. Creating a darker mood than in previous efforts, Der Plan relies on space and textures to determine the record's tone. Recommended for fans only. Reissued on CD by Ata Tak in 2000.
