Far removed from the sugary Swedish pop made famous by the Cardigans, Komeda and others, fellow countrymen Anywhen instead offer up dynamic, edgy alt-rock on their self-titled debut LP; frontman Thomas Feiner conjures darkly atmospheric songs with solid pop melodies, complete with an emphasis on electronics that at times recalls the more ominous strains of the New Wave.
