2005年Keith Urban获得了在纽约麦迪逊广场举办的第39届美国乡村音乐奖“最佳艺人”与“最佳男歌手”两项殊荣。在今年的第48届格莱美颁奖典礼上与Faith Hill同台献艺，并获得了格莱美“最佳乡村男歌手”大奖。
即将在本月31日发行的全新专辑《Dying Gravity》是一张充满了甜蜜情歌的专辑。除了之前推出过的主打单曲《Kiss A Girl》和《Sweet Thing》之外，还有一首他特地为其爱妻妮可·基德曼创作的歌曲《Thank You》。
Keith Urban在这首歌中，可以说将自己内心最诚挚的感激之情表达了出来。Keith Urban曾接受采访时说：“我认为专辑的录制过程就像是一次随心所欲的旅程。所以我的音乐很能反映我创作时的心情。”由此可以推断，现在Urban的家庭生活一定是幸福美满到不行。

&Defying Gravity comes from the lyrics of a song on the album and it just struck me at the time as a phrase that really defined the joyous, optimistic and uplifting spirit that seemed to show itself while making the album,& says Keith.
