Jon Peter Lewis (born November 7, 1979 in Lincoln, Nebraska) is an American singer and songwriter, and was one of the finalists on the third season of the reality/talent-search television series American Idol. He would frequently be referred to by the judges and Ryan Seacrest as simply JPL.
Lewis was introduced to the world in 2004 via "American Idol", and four years later he's honed his song craft with an all-star cast of collaborators including producer Chris Garcia (Santana, Michelle Branch), executive producer Don Grierson (Heart, Cheap Trick, Duran Duran), drummer Kenny Aronoff (John Mellencamp, Indigo Girls), guitarist Nick Lashley (Alanis Morissette), and Jon's cousin Blake Mills on guitar. This is his first full-length, packed with hit singles.
