A year after his breakthrough Dirty South anthem &Southside& ravished the Third Coast and crept beyond, Lil' Keke returned with more of the same, namely a hot remix featuring the biggest down-South baller of all, Eightball. The song leads off It Was All a Dream, Keke's third album in three years, all of them underground. This one also features the Hot Boys (&Make Em Break It&), who were on fire at this point in the game, and also Cali Bay Area underground veteran B-Legit. Certainly on a par with Keke's comparable previous albums, It Was All a Dream is likewise hampered a bit from shoddy production that's a step below major-label quality, yet such is the nature of underground rap like this, so it's not much of an issue.
