by Robert Taylor
Disc one of this live recording is a live version of their masterpiece A Pleasant Shade of Gray. Disc two contains their earlier masterpiece &The Ivory Gate of Dreams& from No Exit. The band gives the tune a nice update, and Alder proves that he can still sing at bat-like decibel levels. The rest of the recording contains some of the band's concert favorites. The one link to their metal years was the inclusion of &Prelude to Ruin& (Awaken the Guardian), proving that they can still peel the paint off the walls. This is a very good live recording and serves as a nice complement to their live video A Pleasant Shade of Gray, released one year earlier.
