The reunited Dokken recorded the acoustic One Live Night during their 1995 tour in an attempt to cash in on the &unplugged& fad of the '90s. Unfortunately, most of the group's material isn't well suited to this setting -- after all, Dokken were heavy metal arena rockers, writing big bombastic choruses with crunching chords. Dedicated fans will find versions of &Tooth and Nail,& &Into the Fire,& and &Alone Again& intriguing, and the same might be said for the band's covers of the Beatles' &Nowhere Man& and Emerson, Lake & Palmer's &From the Beginning& -- but One Live Night is only a curiosity.
