当代EDM从天王至新秀皆不断向流行靠拢的趋势下，纵横电舞国度超过15个年头的英伦王者Above & Beyond，亦在这波浪潮中展开对自我创作的试炼与探索，2011年创作专辑《Group Therapy》企图将传统Trance梦幻质感与风格，以大量人声助益与曲式进化注入流行色彩，为这波风潮立下了难以逾越的高标。2013年进一步化身流行摇滚乐团，以13人大型编制重现Above & Beyond经典曲目，一票难求的巡迴演出与隔年发表的现场专辑《Acoustic》，更无疑展现了Jono Grant、Tony McGuinness与Paavo Siljamäki三人维繫电舞音乐本质之馀，与流行接轨的企图与能耐。
睽违4年的第三张创作专辑《We Are All We Need》，内外皆犹如《Group Therapy》的续篇，持续探索流行与电舞接轨的完美方向，意涵上亦环绕著当代人际关係面向，同样以Trance / House为主轴，首波专辑同名主打〈We Are All We Need〉，再度邀来合力打造〈Alchemy〉等经典曲目的Zoë Johnston献声，以其温润和煦嗓音与幻梦迷离的Trance完美揭开序幕。在《Acoustic》现场一鸣惊人的丹麦摇滚小将Alex Vargas，这回取代Richard Bedford跃升首席男声，低迷伤感的缓拍小品〈Making Plans〉以及Above & Beyond遐迩闻名的Uplifting曲式〈Blue Sky Action〉，皆令人彻底倾心。此外，首度合作的水星音乐奖提名爱尔兰女伶Gemma Hayes，在〈Counting Down The Days〉中恣意挥洒著明媚浩室浪漫风光，而已再Anjunabeats旗下发表两张叫好叫座专辑的华盛顿好手Andrew Bayer，则与Above & Beyond携手带来Electro电力四射刚柔并济的后分手情歌〈Sticky Fingers〉，以及拿手的细緻明朗Progressive House作品〈Out Of Time〉。
Ahead of the celebration of their 100th show of Group Therapy at New York City's Madison Square Garden this Saturday, electronic music trio Above & Beyond have made a big announcement via social media: they're releasing an artist album. Entitled We Are All We Need, it's due out January 20th of 2015 via Anjunabeats/Ultra Records. Aside from the release of Acoustic in early 2014, this will be the first full artist album from the guys since Group Therapy in 2011. Though we only know two tracks from the album so far - "Sticky Fingers" and "Blue Sky Action" both featuring Alex Vargas - We Are All We Need promises 16 tracks of goodness.
