"The Bubblefunk EP is a little collection of tunes I created. I made an effort to truly push myself as a producer; inspired by the melodic, masterful music of Tomggg, bo en, Avec Avec, and Yasutaka Nakata. This EP touches on funk, chiptune, J-Pop, hip-hop and jersey club music.
A recurring element of the EP is the use of Hatsune Miku acapellas I found online. To Japanese speakers the vocals may sound a bit nonsensical; the result of sampling and rearranging the source material. I would take small vocal bits and arrange them like puzzle pieces. Her sweet synthetic refrains add a degree of emotion and humanity to these tracks. Shout-out to Hastune Miku for providing her wonderful voice! ^_^
This EP represents my desire to grow as a producer/composer/music lover/person, and serves as a tribute to the endlessly inspiring Japanese Pop scene."
