&Houston native South Park Mexican is a cult hero in his home state of Texas with his old school rhyming style and beats influenced by old-school legends N.W.A. The Texan was hoping to break out of the Lone Star State with his fourth album, Time Is Money, but the 16-track effort is unlikely to catch on. Lyrically, South Park Mexican fails to break any new ground. Tracks like &Hillwood Hustlaz III& and &Throw Away Gats& cover the same territory that Eazy-E did a decade before. On the production side, the songs lack distinction. Tracks on the album not only fail to sound different from other artists, but from each other. While there is nothing wrong with being down with the old school, South Park Mexican fails to bring anything new to the table that is worthy of national attention.
