涅磐乐队地下选集Outcesticide,收录了更多不同时期的未发表作品、小样、录音以及演唱会现场。该系列是由Blue Moon Records非官方出品,一共出版6集。Outcesticide一词来源于涅槃1992年的专辑Incesticide。很长时间以来,Outcesticide在乐迷中广泛流行。2004年,唱片公司出了个官方版的box set《With the Lights Out》,试图阻止Outcesticide的流行;其中大量珍贵的作品选自于Outcesticide。

The second Outcesticide bootleg of Nirvana material consists mainly of live versions of unavailable tracks (like their hilarious cover of the Doors' "The End") and early live versions of some of their best known songs (like a 1991 recording of the In Utero track "Pennyroyal Tea"). The sound quality is mixed, at best, but some of the versions available are indispensable to Nirvana fans. Highlights include a ten-minute version of "Scentless Apprentice," an early live version of "Heart-Shaped Box" with the solo they omitted from the studio version, a 1993 live performance of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" with Flea (from the Red Hot Chili Peppers) on trumpet, and an energetic in-store acoustic performance of "Negative Creep." Of the otherwise unavailable songs, the most revealing is a snippet of a recording by Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love titled "It's Closing Soon," which is an unfinished song, and despite the poor recording, gives a glimpse into their private creative collaborations. The other two originals -- "Help Me" and "In His Hands" -- were clearly not meant to be released officially, as these versions are shaky at best, and bad at worst.
