Last time we heard from Austins billowy psych dazers Pure X, it was, well, last year, when they dropped their intriguing second LP Crawling Up the Stairs. On April 1 (May 5 in the UK), Pure X return with a new label, Fat Possum, and a new album, Angel; thats the airbrushed-white-T-shirted art above. First single "Starlight" finds Nate Grace and his crew adding extra pink fog and smooth tunefulness to their repertoire, a hard left turn from Crawling Up the Stairs tortured melancholia.
