After spending the early part of 2014 celebrating the 25th anniversary of Workbook with a tour and expanded reissue, Bob Mould has now unveiled plans for a new album. Beauty & Ruin marks his 11th solo effort to date and follow-up to 2012′s Silver Age. It will be released on June 3rd in the U.S. and June 9th worldwide via Merge Record.

For the LP, Mould was joined by his longtime backing band of bassist Jason Narducy (Split Single) and drummer Jon Wurster (Superchunk). The end results spans 36 minutes and is described as a “compact epic.”
