Pianist Ahmad Jamal had not recorded in two years when this LP came out, but his style was largely unchanged from the past. Jamal, bassist Jamil Sulieman and drummer Chuck Lampkin perform two of the pianist's originals (including &One for Miles&), a couple of recent originals, &Beautiful Love,& and the title song from the television series Naked City (which had been a hit for singer Teri Thornton). Jamal's distinctive chord voicings and use of space and dynamics remained his trademark. Worth searching for.
